About the Story

INNOCENT BLOOD, America’s Final Trial, by Donald S. Smith, is the inspiring story of a man, Jefferson Maddox, driven by a passion for the wellbeing of America’s unborn children.

Educated in literature and drama, and married to a uniquely beautiful fashion model, Jefferson Maddox rises to wealth and power as the founder of a billion-dollar financial empire.  Deeply concerned about his home state, South Carolina, Maddox becomes governor of the state.  His successful recovery program becomes a stepping-stone to the presidency of the United States of America.

To resolve abortion, America’s deepest moral dilemma, Maddox overrides the U. S. Supreme Court with a powerful, creative strategy that assures unalienable protection for the unborn child from the moment of conception.

Considered the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln, Maddox leaves a legacy for the future of all mankind. This is an unforgettable drama of life, love, desire, temptation, accomplishment and integrity. INNOCENT BLOOD keeps you on edge until the very last page.

About the Author

Donald S. Smith has been a pro-life advocate for over forty years. In 1970, he founded Crusade for Life, now one of the oldest pro-life groups in America.

His pro-life efforts have resulted in several pro-life films including Conceived in Liberty, Your Crisis Pregnancy and the Right to Kill, a film on Euthanasia. He also produced Silent Scream featuring ex-abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson. This film has become the most viewed piece of pro-life information in the world if the translations in several languages are included.

Similar to Lincoln's Emancipation of Proclamation, the Proclamation of Personhood asserts that the preborn child is a person from the moment of conception. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed such a proclamation.

Don was graduated from the university of Chicago with degrees in philosophy and the physical sciences. Based on his pro-life accomplishments, Biola university awarded him an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in 1999.
