Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness held annually in October by Pro-life Americans who stand for one hour at various locations across the United States praying for our nation and an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by Pro-life Americans that abortion kills fellow human beings and that human life should be protected from the moment of conception.

These events are usually held in front of, or near, an abortion clinic; however, no attempt is made to block the clinic entrance or driveway. In fact, participants are urged not to block any doors or driveways including those of any nearby businesses that are open for business during the event.
